I have the honour to enclose for the information of His Excellency the Governor copy translation of proclamation and of a despatch I have received from the Viceroy of the Two Kwang, the latter notifying the points on the Coast at which the new Tax Stations are intended to be established referred to in the proclamation.
A Chinese Map shewing the various positions will be transmitted to You in a few days.
